Sawyer Williams

Sawyer Williams has been working with Apostle since 2007. He most recently worked as an Associate Producer on the third season Maron and the first season of Benders, both for the IFC Network.

Prior to that he worked at Apostle as the Assistant to Denis Leary from 2008 until the beginning of 2014, working for Denis on all manner of projects both in film and television, from development through production.  Included among them were seasons 5, 6 and 7 of the FX series Rescue Me, the USA Network series Sirens, the pilot of Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll for FX, The Amazing SpidermanDraft Day, the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival Audience Award winning documentary BURN, the long running annual “Comics Come Home” benefit show in Boston, and three national tours of “The Rescue Me Comedy Tour.”

Sawyer graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dramatic Writing in the spring of 2006. He began working as a PA on various film and television jobs in New York City shortly thereafter, including Michael Haneke’s Funny Games and Woody Allen’s Whatever Works. His first job in television was on Rescue Me where he worked as a PA during the shooting of Season 4 in 2007. He began playing in the weekly hockey games with other members of the crew, where he met Denis Leary and joined the Apostle team.

He continues to work closely with Apostle, and can often be found pocketing items from the craft service spread at the office when times get tough.
